The summit will start at 9.00 am tomorrow (Thursday 3 May 2018) in Palazzo Mezzanotte, on Piazza Affari in Milan. It will bring together the top managers of cosmetic companies in a range of channels, as well as the big names from leading distribution groups.
Federico Pegorin, CEO of AGF88 Holding, will appear on stage at the event when he is interviewed by Italian journalist Nicola Porro, who presents Matrix on the Italian TV channel Canale 5.
In the Italian cosmetic industry, there is a lack of big national brands, especially ones that are positioned at the high end of the market. Italian names also “suffer” on the distribution front in the field of fragrances, where brands owned by foreign multinationals predominate and account for more than 70% of spending. This “Italian problem” can be turned into an “Italian opportunity” and it will be the focus of the second Beauty Summit organized by Pambianco Strategie di Impresa in partnership with Condé Nast Italia, which is entitled “The Italian cosmetic industry – Characteristics and opportunities for development”. The summit will start at 9.00 am tomorrow (Thursday 3 May 2018) in Palazzo Mezzanotte, on Piazza Affari in Milan. It will bring together the top managers of cosmetic companies in a range of channels, as well as the big names from leading distribution groups.
The proceedings at the Beauty Summit will be opened by Raffaele Jerusalmi, the CEO of Borsa Italiana (the Italian stock exchange). His remarks will be followed by contributions from Fabio Rossello (the president of Cosmetica Italia), David Pambianco (the CEO of Pambianco Strategie di Impresa, who will reveal the results of a research project that aimed to present an analytical “map” of the Italian cosmetic industry), Marco Formento (the senior vice president digital at Condé Nast Italy) and Erika Andreetta (a partner at PwC, who will present another research project).
The second part of the morning will be moderated by the journalist Nicola Porro, who presents Matrix on the Italian TV channel Canale 5. He will carry out face-to-face interviews with Cristina Scocchia (the CEO of Kiko), Federico Pegorin (the CEO of AGF88 Holding) and Fabio Pampani (the CEO of Douglas Italy). After the coffee break, there will be a round table featuring Fabio Guffanti (the GM of Laboratoires SVR Italy), Peter Gladel (the CEO of Beauty and Luxury), and Francesco Pastore (the GM of Coty Professional Beauty Italy & Greece). Porro will then have the chance to ask more questions during exclusive interviews with Edoardo Bernardi (the CEO and GM of The Estée Lauder Companies Italy), Roberto Selva (the Non-Food director at Esselunga), Andrea Pernigo (the CFO of Just Italy) and Dario Ferrari (the president and CEO of Intercos).
The event is free and open by invitation only to people from the beauty, fashion and luxury goods industries.
